Butler West Young Men's Leaders & Parents -

Attached is the itinerary, schedule and logistics for our upcoming Stake Young Men's Camp. Please note some important dates & info: 

- This camp is for only young men aged 14+ (Teachers and Priests Only) 

- June 9 @ 10:30 the Stake YM Presidency will depart with the Youth Team Leads to prep camp.

- June 10 @ 7:30 AM ALL Adult Leaders and Young Men will meet at the stake center to depart. Please come dressed in white shirts and ties that morning as we will be performing baptisms for the dead at the Star Valley Temple on the drive to our campsite. 

- All Adult Leaders and Young Men assigned as team leads are invited to attend a short training meeting May 17 @ 1:30 PM in the Stake High Council Room.

Emergency Preparedness Fair

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

We have been made aware of a Emergency Preparedness event near us that we recommend to you. 

Olympus, Holladay, and Holladay North Stakes are hosting the 3rd Annual Northeast Holladay Neighbors Preparedness Fair—this year’s theme: “Ready Together.”

Friday, April 24
6:30–9:00 pm
Olympus Stake Center (2700 E 4430 S)

Featured speakers:

• Shayla Egan — social media influencer (#ldspreppergirl), sharing practical, real-life readiness strategies for families
• Tami Girsberger — when to walk away, drive away, or stay at home in a crisis (PrepareMyLife.com)
• Dave Holladay — renowned survivalist; TV & film consultant for Cast Away (with Tom Hanks) and Man vs. Wild (with Bear Grylls)

Hosted by Dan Clark, renowned motivational speaker, featuring the “Preparedness Now” video from the Utah Division of Emergency Management with the latest information on risk in Utah, along with breakout discussions, emergency preparedness displays, and practical demonstrations, followed by a Q&A.

  • Live music from the Kaelin Brothers and others

  • Preparedness snacks and refreshments

  • Fire truck on site from Unified Fire Authority to view and interact with

Participating partners include Holladay City, Salt Lake County, Unified Fire Authority, the State of Utah, the American Red Cross, and others.
